It has taken many years to design and develop a hybrid motorcycle . Many major motorcycle manufacturers are still fully involved in the process of perfecting their designs, waiting to launch a true hybrid model. On the one hand, many centaurs are not particularly interested in hybrid motorcycle models , as so far most prototypes have seemed more difficult to ride, in terms of weight and handling. But in this latest era, the motorcycle industry seems to have become aware of the teething problems of this technology and has finally accepted the environmental challenges of the coming years.
So, for motorcyclists who want to do their part in the green transition of the coming years, the electric motorcycle market brings good news.
Indeed, the landscape of hybrid and electric motorcycles seems much more advanced today. They're faster, lighter, safer, smarter. But without forgetting that touch of style and elegance . And let's not forget the maintenance benefits: there will no longer be any need to change the oil or repair a leaking gasket.
The only advice we can give to future "electric" drivers is the following:
- Perform regular inspection and maintenance, at least every 2000mi (3000km) or six months.
- Charge your lithium-ion batteries properly, otherwise their lifespan will be reduced.
- Do not use chargers from other manufacturers
- Do not allow the battery to completely discharge, as this will reduce its lifespan.
- Do not expose your motorcycle battery to extreme conditions; the ideal temperature is between 0 and 35°C (32 and 95°F).
- Clean your electric motorcycle regularly to remove mud and dirt.
- Regularly lubricate the chain of your electric motorcycle or scooter if they are designed with chains.

…and the Japanese manufacturers?
Kawasaki's future plans include a new motorcycle with hybrid technology that will soon go into production. The Japanese manufacturer plans to launch 10 electrified models (hybrid or fully electric) by 2025, and to have a range of fully electrified motorcycle models by 2035.
Currently, Kawasaki is advancing plans for a hybrid model, called the Endeavor, with a parallel twin-cylinder engine and an electric motor that can run alternately on electricity and gasoline.
While the other three Japanese motorcycle manufacturers, Honda, Yamaha and Suzuki, have been decidedly cautious about upcoming electrified motorcycle models, Kawasaki has been decidedly more proactive.
